Hello! I’m a casual writer who aspires to a professional status. For now, my day job is to foster of a love of reading and writing in pre-teens. Or, at the very least, get them to write one ridiculously good paragraph.

I don’t need to tell you the things I enjoy in life – you can tell from the photos and blog content itself. That’s why you’re here. I just appreciate that you’ve come to look around!

My little family of fuzzballs (including John when he needs a haircut) and I moved from Colorado to Arkansas in 2021, although I was born and raised in Iowa. John and I make our home in the hills of the Ozarks with Cleo, Violet, Mr. Bojangles, and sometimes Mitten Kitten. (Also, all the really good photography that doesn’t look like it came from my phone is done by John, @johncarrphotography)
